Who
we are

Some tables turn people away. This one never will.

My name is Brandon Powers. I've sat with people in detox at 3am. I've worked alongside the homeless on the streets. I've walked the halls of Oregon State Hospital with people the world had completely given up on. I gave years of my life to that work — 12 - 16 hour shifts — because I believed every single person was worth every single minute.

And they were.

But I kept watching people heal inside the system and fall apart the moment they hit the street again. No food. No community. No one waiting for them at a table that felt like home.

So I built one.

The Shepherd's Table exists because hunger is never just physical. People are hungry for food, yes — but also for dignity. For someone to look them in the eye without judgment. For a place where their worst moment doesn't define their welcome.

If you're hungry — come to the table. No questions asked. If you're carrying something heavy — pull up a chair. You don't have to carry it alone. If you want to help — there's always room for one more pair of hands.

Everyone is welcome. Everyone is valued. No one leaves hungry.
