Having been a pastor for over forty years, I have experienced firsthand the challenges and trials of pastoral ministry. Pastors desperately need encouragement. Therefore, I have endeavored to encourage and counsel other pastors over the years.
Now that I am no longer a pastor myself, I have become more intentional about helping pastors than ever before. Recently the Lord has led me to formalize my ministry to pastors. The Shepherd’s Table which has been the title of my podcast for some time has now been expanded into a broader ministry as a project of Interlink Ministries located in Apple Creek, Ohio. My objective is primarily to encourage and counsel pastors, but also to assist churches and support those involved in church ministry. A full description of this project is available online at shepherdstable.net. There are also many helpful resources available on the website including links to my books, The Shepherd’s Table podcast, and hundreds of audio and video sermons.
The purpose of this letter is to request your prayer support. Please pray that God would grant me the wisdom to encourage pastors and that He would provide opportunities for me to minister in local churches. Over the past three months, I have had the privilege of ministering to nine pastors a seminary student, and two ministry volunteers. In addition, I have preached in two churches, taught an adult Bible class, continued to write my next book, and help Dianne with the book she is writing on grief. I would greatly appreciate your prayer support for The Shepherd’s Table Project.
Those who wish to assist the Shepherd’s Table Project can make tax-deductible donations at Interlinkministries.org. All donations will go toward project expenses such as publishing costs, website fees, and travel expenses associated with the ministry.
